First meeting of Office-Bearers of AIPTF

AIPTF’s elected Office-Bearers met on 29th December 2016 for the first time after amendment in the by-laws of the Federation on 5th July 2015. In order to encourage the participation of Office-Bearers in strengthening and better administration of AIPTF, to solve the grievances of the teachers and jointly reflect on educational issues and policies of the different states etc. It was decided to form different Zones of the state affiliates.

Zonal Committees and their Responsibilities:

Eastern Zone: (Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam, Mizoram, West Bengal, Odisha)

Responsibilities of the Committee:

• Strengthening the State Union
• Dialogue with rival/conflicting groups to solve the problems
• Enhancing the Membership
• Enhancing the participation of Youth and women in Union
• Making efforts to increase the membership fee and making unions financially strong
• Networking with like-minded organizations and working with them on similar issues
• Participating in agitations etc. of state affiliates
• Monitoring and reporting of different projects implemented by AIPTF
• Any other as per the needs of the AIPTF
